Adobe Spark, the free version, is pretty easy, but not all that dynamic. As I did last semester, I hijacked the audio by playing music over my phone. Probably not the best as it does not translate as well, but it works nonetheless. Saying anything of substance in a 90 second time frame is a definite challenge. My appreciation for advertisers and commercial efficacy is heightened knowing their profits are directly related to such. I cannot say I encountered any problems as it is something we have engaged with over the course of this program in Semesters 1 and 2, but I am still working within my comfort zone. I know there is more and better out there but I am desperately strapped for time since I am currently still working as a site administrator until the close of June. That said, the only problem I am solving is my lack of time, hence the lateness of this post. Cheers. Mea culpa6/12/2018 Give us an honest appraisal (venting?) of your journey around trying to produce your Capstone Project video script. How did you decide what editor you might use? What problems did you encounter? How did you solve them? The intent is open a useful discussion that can help raise the bar for everyone.
In full disclosure fashion, I am more lost than I have ever been. My journey is similar to an experience I had while traveling with a friend in Spain. The boyfriend to the gal he was staying with had to travel to Valencia to take a plane to Poland. We were traveling to Valencia later that day and volunteered to drive the car back to Albacete, knowing GPS was not exclusive to America. Once we located the car, which took 3 or 4 back and forth trips on the subway, we ventured back to Albacete. One problem. Our GPS was on bike mode. We saw the freeway from a distance, but our ignorance had us committed to the commands of our iPhone. Yes, we finally figured it out, but we were clearly without our own direction. I feel much the same in this program. I can see that the pieces are leading to the freeway, but I am stuck on bike mode. I think I am just a different kind of learner and as much as I might like to think I am innovative, my desire for clarity and precise direction has led me astray and or left me behind. Video script? Not even. Unfortunately, I need everyone else to lower the bar. Maybe it is my own density, but I have not been able to even wrap my brain around my capstone. |
